Measuring Eternity

The tide advances,
then retreats,
then advances,
then repeats.

It slides upon
the slope of sand,
then withdraws
its embrace with the land.

Again, again, and again,
through infinity.
Measuring the endless
flow of eternity.

  1. Great poem and photography, Dad! The ocean provides infinite inspiration. Watching the endless ebb and flow of waves once inspired me to write a song called "Without End". I'll play it for you while I'm home! : )

  2. Sarah:

In my head, I can hear the words to your song, "Without End". The best part of that experience is that I hear your voice, your guitar, your creative spirit, and I recall that quick smile you give to me as you're playing and singing. I thank you deeply for these memories.

    Love,

    Dad

  3. Thanks, Dad! I'm so glad you enjoy hearing my music as much as I enjoy playing it for you and Mom. Your support has inspired me to keep singing and strumming all these years. More to come!
    Love you!
