Weaving words of grace and gratitude through the fabric of my photography, I wish to share the everyday miracles of God's creation. Writing with a blend of curiosity, discovery, and spirituality, I invite the reader-viewer along a trail of words and images; thoughtfully selected and graciously given.

Fragments of Poetry 12
Winter dawn is the color of metal,
the trees stiffen into place like burnt nerves.

Photo Haiku - Bird Series 2
watchful and ready
perched and crouched for the next strike
stalker in wetlands
sudden appearance
black and blue package of life
focused alertness
plump with plume on head
a curved exclamation mark
explodes into flight

Proposal "P"
To produce a package for a time capsule that would portray my place on this planet, I provide these preferences:
* the puffy pouch of a Pink Lady's Slipper
* the pleasure perceived from a rainbow prism
* a Prickly Pear piercing the desert air
* the pounding percussion of a Pileated Woodpecker
* trillium petals peppered with pollen
* powerful roots pushing and probing below the Ponderosa Pines
* a pastel painting of pink petals
* the pacing pulse of a Phoebe in April
* the peculiar parts of a Pitcher Plant
* a penstemon propelling scarlet trumpets
* a pensive place beside a peaceful river
* particles of pollen packed in a bee's pouch
* a patch of pretty poppies
* the parallel leaves of a pixelated palm
* cumulus piling along the perimeter of the prairie
* the passion to prepare a persuasive, perceptive poem
* the patience to proclaim praise in a penetrating prayer

The Next
The heart, the soul, the mind,
are searching for
a home, a rest, a sanctuary,
while looking
down the road,
down the trail,
down the stream,
for the next
opportunity, desire, dream.
The next
time to
shine.

May You Walk
May you walk through woodlands white with Trillium.
May you walk through fields purple with vetch.
May you walk in the under-story green with Mayapple.
May you walk in the dunes tan with sand.
May you walk in wetlands cinnamon with fern.
May you walk through the seasons of your life attentive and alert, with a joyful sense of gratitude.

You
Do you love this world
you were born into?
Have you noticed the gifts
strewn across the land?
Hidden from most,
discovered by you.Others oblivious,
indelible for you.
In addition to
your awareness and reverence,
you have a touch of
poetry in your soul,
and an intense love of the land
in your heart.
