slippery surface
flared roundness
cold, curving contours
translucent, transparent
tapering into shapes
suspended above
quick, clear current
water rippling, splashing,
growing and ringing like ice bells.

ReplyDeleteThanks man.
I have a great guide helping me...
the best available,
and very creative.
You know who I mean, don't you?

Hello Rich- Liked your poem and this photo. Ice bells are quite the natual wonder. First and only time that I have ever seen them was in Dec. 2011 along the Kishwaukee River near Genoa,IL.. Merry Christmas to you and the family!

ReplyDeleteThanks for your appreciation of my "Shape Poem". You also have a keen eye for the close-up details to be discovered in nature. I find "Ice Bells" fairly regularly along smaller streams. This one on a Red-osier Dogwood seemed appropriate for the season.
Hope you had a blessed Christmas with your family. All my best to you in 2014, and thanks for your loyal following at WWFN.
Gratefully,
Rich
