Red Maples, like crimson royalty,
crown the lake's edge.

Leaves leaving their home,
coaxed by an autumn breeze.

Tasty globes of juiciness;
Red Delicious ready for harvest.

Virginia Creeper's climbing vines
ornamenting wooden fences.
