The Last Dance





Listen to the leaves landing.
Soft as pages turning.

Each leaf,
after a brief
dance with gravity,
falls with grace
to meet its shadow.

The last dance.
The last page.

    What a beautiful poem! Hoping to meet that last dance with such grace. Reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Whitman..."I now 37 years old in perfect health, hoping to cease not till death."
