Poet's Desire

Try to feel these (my) words
as they gather momentum,
bend around the curves,
flow along a course.
Water touching (caressing) earth.
Earth determining (guiding) the route.
The path (fate) of water within,
seeking (pursuing) its destination.
Growing more of its self.
Sustained (contained) by the earth,
teasing (pleasing) the land.
From the (masculine) mountains
coming, eventually, relentlessly,
into the (feminine) sea of desire.

  1. Another job well done, FN. I like water: rain, rivers, lakes, oceans! I will be watching the lunch of richardhavenga.com.

  2. Love how you see things--and capture them in words as well. Lovely.

I love the creative writing process involved in poetry. The flow of the words gained momentum as the current sought its destination.

Thank YOU for your beautiful words of admiration. You are my most loyal reader.

I am spending many hours a day writing, revising, and thinking about my poetry. I find comfort, and contentment before, during, and after my writing.

    Gratefully,

    Richard
