Sacramental Rain

Sacramental Rain

which is your true love
knowledge or mystery
where to place value
ponder or perceive
the essential message
seeking direction
shaped with elegance
stirring new life
in our hibernating senses
words emerge
silent as seeds from soil
wrapped into sentences
like gifts from within
the spirit urges
encourages
deep vision and dreaming
wishing to grow
into a humble poem
baptized like a sacrament
inside the song
of this soft spring rain

This morning's soft rain was welcoming. It helped bring forth this poem. Your words are also welcoming and encouraging.

After our long, cold winter, the rain this morning put me in that mood you described; one of quiet observation and contemplation.

Thanks for all you do to inspire me to write.

This poem is very spiritual and the picture you took captures the meaning of it all. I, too, loved the last three lines of this eloquent verse.

  7. I welcome the spring rain, especially this year. The lake water levels are very low, not to mention the unlimited benefits it brings to animals and plants.

In four days I measured 5.72 inches in my rain gauge. Now, snow pellets pepper the ground. The seasons are vacillating, but spring will eventually win, and our "hibernating senses" will awaken.

Thank you for your frequent visits to WWFN.

  9. Dear Richard--liked this one too--captivating in it's depth and double meanings I especially liked,"words emerge
    silent as seeds from soil".
