on a late winter beach
swirls of sand and snow
changing
with each new wind
elements combine
ice and water
snow and sand
shrubs and grasses
waiting for spring
a little more time
a few more storms
will pound

at the end
of a long

Dick- The snow & drifting, along with the exposed sand is a very nice contrast, along with the deep blue lake, dormant follage, interesting sky mix and lone lighthouse in the background.
